Bringing in new customers is a HUGE part to the puzzle but why don’t business owners focus more on this?

How would it feel to get 10 new customers this week?

Pretty good!

On top of that, what if you could advertise at an extremely low cost?

I’m talking about reaching 10,000 specific people for around $100!

In this article, I’m going to show you the top performing marketing strategies that I’m using for my clients.

These strategies are bringing in new customers/ clients every single day!

Plus they are easy to learn and impliment!

Marketing doesn’t have to be difficult.

We can break it down into simple tasks that lead to the outcome you are searching for.

Maybe you want more people to walk into your coffee shop or more views on your Facebook page selling jewelry.

Gaining 10 new customers for your business is easy.

It’s actually so easy, that you could accomplish it this week.

First we need to step back and setup the foundation so our marketing efforts are more successful.

Here are a few questions to be answered :

  1. Where are your customers located?
  2. How old are they?
  3. What other places do they shop at?
  4. What are their fears?
  5. What are their dreams?
  6. Why would they benefit from shopping with you?

Take these questions and write out solid answers. The more details you have, the easier it will be to reach your ideal customer base.

This is the most difficult part.

If you can create an outline about your ideal audience, the rest will be a breeze!

Now, no matter what direction you go in your marketing efforts, you will always have a guide to help reach the people that need you most.

Next we need to dive into HOW to market.

This is where so many people fail and it’s an easy correction.

Focus on the fears and dreams rather than bragging about your awesome product/ service.

For example, if I were a disinfectant company trying to sell my product, I would target mothers.

Their fears would be germs getting their children sick.

Their dreams would be a stronger disinfectant so they don’t have to clean 3 times a day while also doing all the other tasks throughout the day.

So if I were creating a marketing campaign through Facebook Ads, I might start with a video of a mom struggling to keep the house clean as the kids make a mess. I would then cut to a scene with the mom happy because our brand is doing a better job at cleaning the mess.

The second ad would be showing how dirty surfaces are after using the other brand and how our disinfectant keeps the kitchen counter cleaner for a longer period of time.

When I say learn your audience, I mean really dive into how they think.

This doesn’t mean take your best guess.

Give a survey to existing customers or google similar brands and see who their audience is.

Advertising using fear and dreams is a gold mine!

This gives us a better understanding not only on WHO to advertise to but also HOW to advertise to them.

Next we need to pick our channels.

This means selecting the platforms that our audience is most likely going to be on.

If I had a clothing line for working out, I’d select Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.

Facebook is always a good place to start because so many people use it.

Sequential Ads

It’s extremely rare for someone to make a purchase off a single ad they see.

Most times marketers strategically send ads leading up to the final call-to-action where most of the customers make the purchase.

For example, here is an outline I made to show how I would market a product through videos.

Each video serves a purpose in proving to the audience that they need your product.

Again, marketing isn’t simply showing someone how awesome our product is but proving to them how much easier or better their life would be with it.

We use fears and dreams to get this across as discussed above.

So the next question is how to we make sure the ads run in order and how do we even create the ad and target our audience.

Facebook Ads is the first platform I’d pursue.

It’s the easiest to learn and has so much information on our ideal customers.

You can easily setup an ad account at business.facebook.com .

There is too much information on running the ads to fit in this marketing outline but I have the full article already written on how to create the sequence of ads!

Make sure to check it out right after finishing this to start your marketing efforts!

These are the paid forms of marketing but there are also free options that can be just as effective if used correctly.

Here are a few awesome strategies :

  1. Contests — use your customers to generate hype about a contest where they can win prizes. You can also collaborate with other brands to cross promote!
  2. Organic Social Media Strategies
  3. Free Samples (not really free)
  4. Networking Events

These are just a few ways to advertise your business without having to spend money.

These do work great but the quickest way is to spend money on ads.

This wraps up the outline on advertising your small business.
